ABOUT US

Taiga Coolers, LLC is a privately held company, owned by partners John Hohenshelt and Adam Artho.

John and Adam met through a mutual friend and immediately recognized they shared many interests. Their common interests included various outdoor sporting activities with emphasis on hunting and fishing. With over 25 combined years of experience in business management and ownership, they soon realized they also shared a passion for success as entrepreneurs. Together they knew that their shared passion for business and leisure could be successfully merged into a venture that would result in few constraints on what they could achieve.

Adam was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. He has hunted waterfowl, varmints, pheasant and deer his entire life. After college, Adam joined the management ranks in the marine manufacturing industry where he was introduced to offshore fishing. The opportunity to extensively fish the gulf coast has resulted in a passion to spend an equal amount of time fishing and hunting. After leaving the manufacturing industry, Adam began his entrepreneurial adventure with a retail business that he has independently grown into a success.

John was born in Texas. John has been an avid hunter most of his life. He has hunted duck and deer across east Texas and into Arkansas. John could get a “kitchen pass” to hunt every Saturday as long as he took his son with him.  He and his son have hunted wild hogs with dogs and spears through sloughs and John used his son as an icebreaker many dark mornings to put out decoys.  John discovered offshore fishing and experienced the thrill of yellow fin tuna caught off rigs by Louisiana as well as sailfish off Costa Rica.  After college, John served as a Captain in the US Army. After his military service John began a management career in the manufacturing industry.

After extensive research and discussion, the idea for Taiga high performance coolers was born.  With a shared desire to introduce a specialized product to the market, these two native Texans have committed their combined drive and focus to sharing their passion for blue-livingthecoolerlife.png
